On announcing the launch of the new digital firm, 1990’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Karl Esber, commented: “We are a new boutique firm with a mission to keep our clients abreast of the digital journey, simplify the complexities, and help them to successfully navigate the digital transformation age. 1990 will be a full-service digital firm taking a holistic view of the digital value chain, from use of the latest mobile technologies through to optimisation of customer acquisition strategies. However, 1990’s core strength lies in tailored digital solutions and web experience management, primarily on Episerver as its content management system (CMS) of choice. While many agencies choose certain parts of the value chain to play in, 1990 sees it as a holistic journey with each part of the value chain interdependent on the other. By taking this approach, it allows 1990 to devise practical, long-term digital solutions which delight clients and their customers alike.

According to Esber: “We’ve always been on the client side and became increasingly frustrated with working with agencies that use a cookie-cutter approach. We found gaps in their solutions and understanding, increased costs over time and a lack of personal touch to close out projects”.

Apart from its executive management team (who have previously worked for businesses such as Aussie Home Loans, GE Money, Pepper Money, AMEX, Telstra, Optus, CIMIC, Gulf Agency Company and Datacom), 1990’s Board of Directors is led by its Chairman, Mr Patrick Tuttle who is the former Managing Director and Co-Group CEO of Pepper Group Limited, the previously ASX-listed global financial services business which operates in 7 countries and is a significant player in consumer lending in all of the key markets in which it operates.
